Larry Buckley
Larry
is responsible for managing the vision and overall
strategic direction of DataOceans. Prior to
co-founding DataOceans, in 2001, Larry co-founded
ThreeRiversGroup, a venture technology and sales
agency that represents revenue enhancement and cost
reduction technology solutions with cross industry
appeal. Prior to ThreeRiversGroup, in 1997, Larry
founded ECWerks, one of the first eCommerce
consulting companies in the Southeast. ECWerks
rapidly grew to nearly 200 consultants in a brisk 21
months. In January of 1999, ECWerks was acquired by
IMRglobal (NASDAQ:IMRS), now CGI (NASDAQ:GIB) as the
international company's eCommerce division. While
at IMRglobal, Larry held the position of Vice
President of Global Business and Marketing Strategy
reporting directly to the office of the CEO. Larry
held key roles in the overall strategy of the
company's vision and strategy.
Prior to ECWerks, in 1992, Larry founded Technology
Investments, now CommerceQuest and a part of the
Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ:ICGE) portfolio
company. Larry divested his investment in the
company to start ECWerks in 1997. Larry also
co-founded SourceTrack in 2001, an eProcurement
company.
Larry has held a number of board positions with
various companies over the last 10 years. Larry
began his career at IBM in 1982 after graduating Cum
Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a
degree in Economics and Computer Applications.
Dave Hickson
Dave
is responsible for sales and marketing and also for
aligning DataOceans' technology offerings with the
target market and customer base. Prior to
co-founding DataOceans, in 2001, Dave co-founded
ThreeRiversGroup, a venture technology and sales
agency that represents revenue enhancement and cost
reduction technology solutions with cross industry
appeal. Prior to ThreeRiversGroup, in 1997, Dave
co-founded ECWerks, one of the first eCommerce
consulting companies in the Southeast. ECWerks
rapidly grew to nearly 200 consultants in a brisk 21
months. In January of 1999, ECWerks was acquired by
IMRglobal (NASDAQ:IMRS), now CGI (NASDAQ:GIB) as the
international company's eCommerce division. While
at IMRglobal, Dave held the position of VP of
eBusiness and was the primary interface for the Wall
Street investment and analyst community and helped
establish the company's eBusiness offerings
internationally.
Prior to ECWerks, Dave was a principal at Technology
Investments, now CommerceQuest and part of the
Internet Capital Group (NASDAQ:ICGE) portfolio
company. Prior to Technology Investments, Dave
served in a series of progressively responsible
positions at IBM from 1980 - 1985. In addition to
these positions, Dave has consulted on several
business and technology ventures with McDonnell
Douglas, Northrup, Grumman and other large
healthcare, engineering, and manufacturing
corporations.
Dave was recruited by IBM at the end of his tenure
in the United States Marine Corps.
Tom Buckley
Tom
is responsible for the development and deployment of
DataOceans technology platforms as well as for
ensuring that the DataOceans technical vision is
appropriately aligned with existing and anticipated
market demand. Prior to co-founding DataOceans,
Tom has been involved in numerous successful
technology ventures. In 2001, Tom founded NetFocus
Corporation, a regional systems integration
consulting and technology incubator firm. NetFocus
specializes in the development of high-volume
internet-based credit card transactions and
recurring billing systems. In 2002, Tom co-founded
Vendesco Corporation, an inbound cross-marketing
technology company and, in 2003, Tom also co-founded
Catalyst Payments, a web-based credit card
transaction processing company.
Prior to NetFocus,
Tom founded International Systems Consultants, Inc.
(ISC) in 1991. ISC began as a boutique systems
integration and consulting firm focused on replacing
mainframe systems with client-server applications.
By 1999 ISC had become one of the top eCommerce
systems integration firms in the Southeast with
client companies throughout North America and
Europe. In 1999, ISC was acquired by Profit
Recovery Group, (NASDAQ:PRGX), where Tom led the
integration of ISC's philosophies and technology
after the merger.
Tom began his
career in the 1980's with Andersen Consulting
(Accenture). Following Andersen, Tom joined C*ATS
Software, a San Francisco-based provider of risk
management software to the investment banking
industry. Tom was responsible for establishing and
managing the C*ATS Tokyo office during his tenure
with the firm. Tom graduated from the University of
Notre Dame in 1987 with degrees in Economics and
Japanese.
Chien Hsiung
Chien
is responsible for all architecture and customer
deliverable technology solutions for DataOceans.
Chien has established himself as a .NET leader in
the Southeast with his pioneering research during
his PhD thesis at Georgia Tech, where he applied
advanced XML implementations in .NET applications
for abstract components and maximum reusability.
Prior to joining DataOceans, Chien was VP of
Technology at Vendesco, where he created a patent
pending process for dynamic analytical processing
technology on in-bound customer interactions for
unique and targeted cross marketing and up-selling
applications.
Prior to Vendesco, Chien was Director of Technology
for Riskmasters and has held numerous positions at
GT-ECRC (Georgia Tech Electronic Commerce Resource
Center, aka Atlanta Electronic Commerce Resource
Center), as well as Motorola in Schaumburg, IL., and
Defense Logistics Services Center in Battle Creek
MI. Chien also has an extensive background in 2D
and 3D graphics technologies, including geometry
data structure and storage, algorithms, virtual
simulations, and particle systems.
Chien graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of
California (B.S., Mechanical Engineering), Georgia
Institute of Technology (M.S., Computer Aided
Engineering), and is a Ph.D. candidate at Georgia
Institute of Technology (Ph.D. Mechanical
Engineering).
Suzanne Bridgers
Suzanne
is responsible for all client facing deployment
services and activities. Prior to DataOceans,
Suzanne was a key member of Matrix, Inc., a
privately held premier, full-service IT staffing and
consultancy where her roles spanned project
management, resource management, budget and proposal
management, and the management of offshore
development resources.
Prior to
Matrix, Suzanne was a director with PRG-Schultz
International (NASDAQ: PRGX) a world leader in
recovery auditing and financial services. Prior to
PRG-Schultz, Suzanne was a principal consultant with
International Systems Consultants (ISC), prior to
ISC’s acquisition by PRG-Schultz. Suzanne’s
responsibilities were focused on leading business
analysis and value added services for ISC’s
Healthcare and Telco clients.
Prior to
ISC, Suzanne held a variety of leadership positions
for companies focused on Healthcare, Manufacturing,
and Print Services. Suzanne received a BS in
Computer Information Systems from the University of
Florida, and a Masters in Computer Information
Services from the University of Miami.
Mark
Turner
Mark
is responsible for the day to day Operational
activities at DataOceans, including IT Operations,
and Deployment disciplines. Mark has over sixteen
years experience in technology and consulting for
Fortune 100 companies.
Prior to joining DataOceans, Mark was VP of
Technology at VirtualPremise where in six years he
helped transform an Internet start-up company into
one of the industry's leading providers of real
estate and information management solutions. Mark
was responsible for managing the operations and ASP
hosting infrastructure of the Virtual Premise
Application, managing product development, quality
control processes, and internal IT systems. During
this time Mark led the company through rigorous
external security audits and successfully completed
a SAS70 Type II audit.
Prior to VirtualPremise, Mark worked as a Principal
Consultant for Intellinet, a leading Microsoft
Solutions Provider, and as a Senior Consultant for
Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). As a
consultant, Mark has worked with over thirty
companies including SunTrust Bank, Cox
Communications, Fleet Mortgage, NorTel and the U.S.
Air Force.
Mark
received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Engineering from the University of Michigan and also
holds an MCSE certification from Microsoft.
